Privacy

What data this site collects, what it does not, and who else is involved.

Template — review before launch. This is a reasonable starting point, not legal advice. Update it to match the analytics, email and advertising tools you actually end up using, and check it against GDPR and CCPA if you have EU or California readers.

What we collect

Analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and see which articles people find useful. This is aggregate data. We do not build profiles of individual readers.

Email. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the email address you give us and nothing else. You can unsubscribe from any email, and we delete your address when you do.

Tools. Our calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is sent to us or stored anywhere.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for, store, or want your health information. Do not send us medical details.

We do not sell data. There is no arrangement under which we would.

Third parties

Affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link you leave this site, and the merchant may set a cookie to record that you arrived from here. That is how the commission is tracked. Their privacy policy applies from that point.

Advertising. Pages may carry display advertising. Ad networks may set cookies to control frequency and measure performance, subject to their own policies.

Hosting. The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes standard request data for security and performance.

Your choices

You can block cookies in your browser without breaking anything on this site — none of our own functionality depends on them.

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email [email protected].
