Editorial Policy

How articles on this site are researched, sourced, reviewed, updated and corrected.

Authorship

Every article is published under a named human author with a biography and a verifiable external profile. We do not publish under a team byline, a pen name or an unattributed “editorial staff” credit.

Articles that make a health claim also carry a named medical reviewer with stated credentials and a dated review line.

Sourcing

We cite primary literature — peer-reviewed studies, regulatory documents, official agency pages — and link to them directly. Secondary coverage is used only to point at a primary source, never as the source itself.

Each citation names its study type. Randomised controlled human trials, reviews, observational studies, animal studies and in-vitro work are labelled as such. This matters: animal and in-vitro findings are not evidence of a human benefit, and we never present them as one.

Claims

We do not state or imply that any ingredient treats, cures, prevents or mitigates a disease.

We do not use hedged language to smuggle in a claim the evidence does not support. Phrases like “may help” and “shows promise” do not make an unsupported claim acceptable — they just make it vaguer.

Where evidence is thin, contested or absent, the article says so plainly.

Use of AI

We use AI tools in research and drafting. Every article is edited, fact-checked and approved by the named human author before publication, and every citation is verified by a human against the original source. Articles where AI was used in drafting are marked in the byline.

Updates and corrections

Regulatory and status content is re-verified at least quarterly, and each page shows the date it was last verified.

When we get something wrong, we correct it on the page, note what changed, and log it on our corrections page. We do not quietly edit and move on.

Commercial relationships

Some articles contain affiliate links. These are disclosed adjacent to the link itself, not only in the footer, and they are marked visibly.

Affiliate relationships never determine what we recommend or what we conclude. We are not paid for favourable coverage, we do not accept payment for placement in rankings, and no merchant reviews our content before publication.

Our regulatory-status coverage carries no commercial relationships of any kind.
